Graphical Design
The User Interface can define the quality of your site. This is the only
part your user sees. From a clean navigation system, to pleasing colors,
this can be the most defining aspect of your project.
Site Layout
The layout of your site should take into consideration the experience of
your users. Put navigational elements where they may expect them to be, easily
accessible, and distinct enough for them to be found. The flow of the site
should allow the user to find what they are looking for in as few clicks as possible.
A confused user will not stay long.
Theme Development
The theme of the site should be pleasing to the eye, yet be identifiable with
you or your group. If the site shows no belonging, then it should build a strong
branding of itsown. Colors, Graphics, Button Sizes, Lines etc. should be carefully
used to provide a comfortable environment for your targeted users. Keep in mind the
color blinded users as well so they can find what they are looking for.
Graphics Development
Graphics should be optimized for use on the internet. Large graphics can impede the
load time and frustrate a user. A good content site will have few graphics, yet
compelling content to attract and maintain the interest of the visitors.
